Johnny.Decimal system

I started implementing a draft version of the Johnny.Decimal system today for my private file structure. This is a lovely task to lose yourself in on a Sunday afternoon and I’m for sure enjoying this structuring of my files a lot.

If you are unfamiliar with the Johnny.Decimal system but do appreciate structure and for instance the MECE principleyour should definitely give this a try.

For now my drafted categories in the Home Domain are:

00-09 System
10-19 Finance & Insurance
20-29 Sports & Leisure
30-39 Household
40-49 Work

Updates

2023/11/21: I’ve added a ’40-49 Work’ related folder. Not for files that belong to the Work Domain but for files that are work related and deserve a storage in my home domain. E.g. contracts, signed NDA’s and my resume.

Default Apps

Following many others, this is my list of default apps in 2023. The categorization is coming from the Hemispheric Views Podcast and should be equal to all others that have submitted their default apps.
