I received a question on what plugins and theme I use to run this website. Instead of answering that question offline I thought it would be a better idea to create a /Uses subpage on it so that I can refer to this page in the future when needed.
Theme
schoonens.social is based on the Independent Publisher 2 theme. While the theme is already several years old I still like it. Independent Publisher supports different post types out of the box (e.g. status, link, image, quote) and is clean and simple in the way it presents itself to the reader. The only thing I’ve changed for now are the default theme colors. I used coolors.co to pick the colors.
Plugins
I’m currently using 13 plugins to make this website work and behave in the way it does.

| Webmention | Webmention support for WordPress posts. Webmentions in combination with Bridgy enable me to link reactions on different networks with the posts on this domain. |
